We are a good school at the heart of a diverse and dynamic community. Our success is based on three simple ideas.
First, we aim to create a haven for all our children, where they can grow and succeed in a safe and happy environment. Whatever their needs, we aim to support and nurture all our children so that they can learn and achieve.
Second, we aim to widen opportunity and life chances for every Holycroft child so that they leave us with the knowledge and skills that they need to thrive in the next stages of their education. Of course, we set high standards for ensuring that they achieve in reading, writing and maths. But more than that, we aim to develop our children as confident and resilient learners, curious about the world and their surroundings.
And as part of the Northern Star Academies Trust, we have access to outstanding teachers in science, technology and maths so that we can offer our children an excellent insight into the subject areas that will shape their futures – perhaps even their careers.
Finally, we aim to be a school at the heart of its community. We see our school as a family – our children, their parents and carers, and all our staff. We believe that we achieve more for our children by working together. Through our Family Learning Hub, our school is a centre for learning for all our community – adults and children alike.
If you are already a member of our school community, I hope that you will find our website useful. If you are looking for a school place for your child, I hope it will give you a flavour of our school and that you will visit us to see Holycroft Primary School for yourself.
