Physical Development

Physical activity is vital in children’s all-round development. Children have ample opportunities provided from them to work on both their gross motor and fine motor skill. Children plays different games and have access to playful activities both indoors and outdoors which help develop their core strength, stability, balance, spatial awareness, co-ordination and agility. Children learn to move in a variety of ways such as running and jumping and learn to confidently ride bicycles/scooters whilst avoiding obstacles. Fine motor control and precision helps with hand-eye co-ordination which is later linked to early literacy. Children explore a range of varied opportunities and play with small world activities, puzzles, creative activities and use small tools such as paintbrushes and rolling pins to strengthen their muscles and gain control.
