Our Intent

Religious education will be taught in line with the syllabus set out by Bradford Council, reflecting the multi faith society that we live in.

Religious education at Holycroft is open and objective, promoting tolerance and respect for everyone. Children are taught in a safe and non-judgemental environment, enabling them to explore their own beliefs, and those of others, with confidence. Pupils are encouraged to explore their sense of identity and belonging, through the development of self-awareness and reflection. They are taught about the 6 main world religions, alongside the understanding that some people do not have a faith.  Pupils are equipped with the knowledge and skills to ask challenging and meaningful questions, enabling them to seek answers with increasing independence.
